Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Susan. I live in southeastern Massachusetts with my husband, toddler son, and our cattle dog/corgi mix. I’m a stay-at-home-mom, and I do some freelance editing and writing during naps and bedtime. But mostly I make things. A lot of things.
I’m a lifelong crafter: knitting, crocheting, spinning yarn, sewing, quilting, and dabbling in many others. I also cook and bake from scratch, and preserve what I grow in my ever-expanding garden.
Recently I decided to learn how to make everything you could find in a general store. From body care to reusable alternatives, food to home goods, clothes to pet supplies; if my family uses it, I want to make it instead of buying it.
This blog is a journal of what I make and learn. I hope you’ll stick around and spend some time with me here.
