With Pointed Sticks blog take… 5? 6? I lost track since I started blogging about knitting back in 2006 (I was in high school, Ravelry was in beta, for context). I’ve been hiatus for a while, as my crafting life took a backseat, and I’m so happy to be back here! I don’t think I’ll ever truly be able to quit this 🙂
I’m going to keep this first post super brief, because first posts are PAINFUL. I still knit, but nowadays my interests are more varied. I crochet, spin yarn, and sew. I also hope to start weaving and painting.
I’m a work-at-home mom to a toddler (and a cattle dog, but he’s less work), so my crafting time is limited. My focus is mostly on creating beautiful but practical things for my home and family. Knitting beautiful lacy shawls are not in the cards, at the moment.
A few years ago, my husband and I bought a midcentury split level home in a town in Massachusetts. The house needed a lot of work, and was under construction for a long time. There’s still some work to do, but it’s mostly done, and now I’m ready to start creating a handmade home. Doing this is so much more than decorating, however. So on this blog you’ll also find me cooking from scratch, starting a garden, and doing everything on a budget.
I’m so excited to once again be sharing everything I’m working on, and I’m thrilled you’re joining me!
